We woke up, packed our bags and hit the road bright and early this morning. We're heading southwest to the mountains of North Carolina, for a wedding in Asheville. We left our beloved Bella at home, but don't worry, she's in good hands. She has a sleepover planned with Pop tonight and Dee-Dee tomorrow night. With the exception of the drive, it will be a nice little weekend getaway for Ian and me.
We are driving to Asheville to attend the wedding of our friends Will and Ali. Will, Ali and Ian used to work together at KPMG and have remained good friends since. Will was actually in our wedding and so it will be nice to celebrate their special day with them. It will be a reunion of sorts because we will be surrounded by old friends from the KPMG days. And Will and Ali are getting married at the Biltmore Estate, so the location could not be more perfect for this time of year. I will be sure to post lots of pictures and a recap of the weekend's festivities.
Well, we nearly got run off the road by a wreck less driver, so I'd better go and be a good co-pilot for Ian.
